River Platform Quality Policy 

(2025.10.16)

 

 

The Quality Policies for Inspected Cars and River Certified Cars are different.

Additionally, the quality policy for Inspected Cars varies depending on whether a repair option is selected.​

River provides clear quality standards to help customers understand the service level, avoid disputes, and ensure transparency in the selling process.  

 

1.  Inspected Car

 

     1-1)   Without Option Selection

      ​If you do not select any repair option:

      •​ River only compensates for damage occurring during transportation.

      •​ However, we will share the full inspection details and vehicle condition report.

     ​​No other quality policy or repair coverage applies unless an option is selected.


     1-2)   With Option Selection

     ​If a repair option is selected:

     ​​ The repair scope, repair cost, and applicable quality policy follow the table shown below.

     Please check the table carefully and select the option that meets your requirements.

     ​All repair and restoration services are carried out based on River’s internal quality standards.


2.  River Certified Car

     River Certified Cars are vehicles that have all repair options (Option 1 to 5) pre-applied.

     Therefore:​

     • The full River Platform Quality Policy applies to these vehicles.

     • No additional option selection is required.

     • River Certified Cars represent the highest standard of restoration and inspection carried out at the River Platform.

  

3.  River Platform Quality Policy

    (Applies based on selected option or applies fully for River Certified Cars)​​

     

       The following policy outlines River’s quality responsibilities, support limits, and restoration standards.

       This policy does not guarantee restoration to brand-new condition; depending on the vehicle’s original condition, the target level is approximately 70% of new condition after repair.

 

      3-1.  Functional Repair

 

1)   Engine & Transmission

If any issues occur with the engine or transmission areas within one month after receiving the vehicle, 

River will cover the cost of the applicable parts.​


    Engine Parts

- Cylinder Block

- Cylinder Head

- Crankshaft

- Camshaft

- Connecting Rod

- Piston Body

- Oil Pan, Housing

 

    Transmission Parts

- Transmission Case / Housing

- Gear Set, Planetary Gear Set in AT

- Input Shaft, Output Shaft, Counter Shaft

- Differential Case & Gears

- Torque Converter Housing, AT

- Clutch Drum & Carrier, AT

 

The parts cost will be credited toward the customer’s next purchase.

The parts cost will be based on standard Korea-market purchase prices.

Any engine or transmission-related parts not listed above will be treated under the Functional Parts policy stated below.

 

2)   Functional Parts

    When the vehicle is received, the Buyer must conduct its own inbound inspection within 15 days.

If any functional issues are found, the Buyer must send photos and video evidence to River, and if River agrees with the 

assessment, River will support 50% of the applicable parts cost. 

- Parts cost will be based on Korea-market purchase prices.

   Labor cost for repairs is not covered.

   River is not responsible for any functional issues that occur after the Buyer has sold the vehicle to their end-customer.

 

 

     3-2.   Restoration

1)  Exterior Restoration: Restoration of exterior components such as bumpers, fenders, bonnet/hood, wheel caps, badges, and emblems.

2)  Interior Restoration: Restoration of interior components such as seats, garnish panels, body rubber trims, cup holders, and the console.

3)  Other Restoration: Additional restoration may be carried out for parts that are deemed problematic based on River’s internal quality standards.

           

 

     3-3.  Stearing Wheel Restoration

 

     3-4.   Underbody Cleaning

Removal of rust from the vehicle underbody and application of anti-rust coating.

However, the muffler section is excluded from this service.​

 

     3-5.   Cleaning

For hygienic purposes, the vehicle seats are removed and the interior is chemically cleaned to eliminate bacteria and pests.

 

 

     3-6.   Style Section

1)   Damage During Ocean Shipping

River will provide support for the repair cost of any damage caused during ocean transportation.

 

2)   Major Damage Not Shown on the Website

If major damage or noticeable defects are discovered upon arrival that were not visible or shown on the River website, River will be responsible for the repair.

 

3)   Minor Scratches Not Detectable in Photos

Minor scratches or small defects that cannot be identified through website photos will not be covered by River.

 

4)   Scratches or Defects Visible on the Website

Scratches or defects that are clearly visible in the photos on the River website are not the responsibility of River.

 

If the customer wishes for River to repair such visible scratches or defects, the repair cost will be charged separately.

 

 

 

The applicability of this Quality Policy may vary depending on the selected repair option.

Coverage and policy benefits may be limited or not applicable based on the service option chosen.
